While updating my ports collection, this little port caught my eye:


# swinful> more www/

youtube-dl is a small command-line program for downloading videos


Testing it out:
# swinful> youtube-dl -a -o /youtube.avi ‘’

    Do you need this because you actually want to save them or because you are unable to watch them?

    I need neither, but this tool might prove useful someday, or to someone else.

    I’m currently testing an open source software named Miro, previously called Democracy Player.

    It allows researches & of course also downloads from:
    – YouTube
    – DailyMotion
    – Google video
    – & a few more I don’t even heard about before.
